What are baby/toddler sensory classes and why choose them?

Little Explorers sensory classes are specially designed sessions that engage babies and toddlers through activities that stimulate their senses including touch, sight, sound and smell. These classes will include music, dance, stories, lights, textures, movement, and interactive play to encourage cognitive, motor, and social development. They are structured to be fun and engaging, and are a great way to support early development while creating wonderful bonding experiences for both parents and children!

What if I feel my child would be better suited to Growing or Super Explorers classes?

As parents you know your child best with regards to their abilities. The age ranges for each group are more so a guide and as every child develops at their own pace sometimes the older group may be more appropriate for meeting their developmental needs. Please contact me regarding any additional guidance needed with this query.

Do I need to have attended the previous age group before booking onto the Growing Explorers or Super Explorers classes?​

No, you can join at any point of the Little Explorers program.​

What if my child cries in class or needs feeding or changing?

It's completely normal for babies and toddlers to cry, need feeding, or require a diaper change during a sensory class after all, they’re little humans with big needs. Little Explorers classes are a relaxed and non-judgmental space for you and your child so please feel free to feed or change your baby and rejoin us whenever you are both ready. If your child gets overwhelmed, you can step aside, comfort them, or take a short break.

What if my child is sick?

Please keep your child at home if they are not well. Unfortunately due to fixed costs we will be unable to refund the cost of the class.

Can I bring my twins?

Yes! You will still need to book a space for both of them. If you are happy to let me, I can help out as much as possible! There is a 25% Discount for twins.

What do I need to bring to class?

We recommend you bring a muslin/cloth for your baby/child to lie/sit on. Everything else will be provided.

Can I take photos in class?

Yes, please feel free to take photos of your child in the class. We do ask that you are mindful of photos that include other people's children, especially when publishing them online.

How many adults can attend?

Due to space, there will only be space for one adult.

Can I bring an older sibling?

Unfortunately due to spacing we are unable to accommodate older siblings.

Can I book individual classes?

All of the Little Explorers classes are designed to be taken in a course of 5 sessions. This allows the child to become familiar with the classes and also gives the parents in the class a chance to form relationships. However should there be space then Pay as You Go classes will be released in the weeks leading up to the term starting.
